Emerson's Quote

I truly think that Emerson is trying to advocate that fact that you have to believe in what you stand for. He is trying to explain that if you follow your heart happiness will come. An example from my life in which I experienced this, was when I was living in New Zealand and my family told me the news that I was moving back to my Canada. I didn't want to move back and I felt like my heart belonged to New Zealand. Although this was my thought I had no choice to move back so I said bye too all my friends and started my life here. Even though I did not get what I wanted, I still believe that one day when I am older I could move back to New Zealand and live my life there. This experience has changed my view in life and it will always stay in my heart. This is an example in my life when I regret not following my heart, which is why my goal for the future is to go back. This happens to people around the world and for them to be happy they have to believe in their own thoughts and beliefs.
